Aim: The delegate will understand more about how decisions are made in a business and why managing cost is essential. 

By the end of this module the delegate can: 
  • Recognise the importance of a business having accurate cost information when making decisions about pricing and capital expenditure 
  • Identify and understand the difference between fixed and variable costs 
  • Be able to calculate breakeven point using a breakeven chart 
  • Be able to calculate breakeven point using the contribution method
